The Coalition Works with the 92Y’s Passport NYC

92Y

Last month I had the privilege of working with the 92Y’s Passport NYC nonprofit youth group. Passport NYC bring teens from around the world to NYC for three weeks to immerse themselves in a specific subject, like dance, theater or other fun activities. These particular students chose a special nonprofit track and spent their time volunteering and learning about how nonprofits operate in the US. The teens invited charities from around the city to submit proposals for a grant that would be awarded by the students at the end of the session.

I’m pleased to announce that the Coalition for the Homeless was chosen and awarded $500 to buy school supplies for Project: Back to School!

I was humbled to work with these students, who opted to spend their summer break learning to make a difference in the world. The Coalition is very grateful for the kind gift. I know we will put the funds to good use in the coming weeks as we kick off our back to school drive.
