The Coalition for the Homeless ("Coalition") understands that privacy is an important concern to members of our community. You can visit most portions of the Coalition website without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a normal web site visit is the IP address of the computer you use to visit our site, the browser and type of machine you are using, the web site that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the site to our visitors.

Collection of Personal Information
The Coalition may collect email addresses and other personally identifiable data about visitors when such data is voluntarily submitted on the site. All such information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data.

If you choose to make an online contribution to the Coalition, you will be sent to a secure site operated by Blackbaud RE:NetSolutions service, which will collect information as necessary to accept and process your donation and send you a receipt. This information may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, amount of donation (collectively "Contact Information") and credit card type and number and transaction confirmation number ("Financial Information"). The information entered on donation forms will be protected as described in the Blackbaud privacy statement at the bottom of each donation form. Blackbaud RE:NetSolutions conveys Contact Information and Financial Information to the Coalition. The Coalition uses Financial Information only to reconcile with bank statements to confirm the donation, and for no other purpose. Coalition may use Contact Information to send donors invitations to Coalition events.

Some Contact Information, such as name and address, may be exchanged with other organizations. You may opt out of such exchange by contacting the Coalition by email at info@cfthomeless.org or by postal mail to:

The Coalition reserves the right to disclose any user information when we believe that doing so is required by law or necessary to protect the property, rights, or safety of the Coalition, visitors to our websites, or other persons.

Cookies
The Coalition website does not use cookies. (Cookies are small data files that your browser stores on your computer to record your preferences and to remember the information you have accessed or provided in the past.)

Third Party Information Collection and Disclosure Practices
Coalition web pages may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties. The Coalition does not control the content or privacy practices of those sites. If the Coalition decides to change its privacy policy, we will post a notice on this web page so that you may review the revised policy. If at any point we decide to use Contact Information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will use reasonable efforts to notify its submitters by email, and to give you an opportunity to delete Contact Information if you do not want it so used. User Conduct.
You agree that you are solely responsible for your use of and reliance upon the Website and Content. You further covenant and agree: (a) not to use the Website or Content in any manner or for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws, regulations or rules; (b) not to access the Website or Content other than for your or your organization's non-commercial use; (c) not to attempt in any way to interfere with or disrupt the proper functioning of the Website nor to take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the infrastructure of the Website; (d) not to submit automated or machine-generated requests or queries; (e) not take pages or Content from the Website and reformat and display them, or mirror the Website on any website; (f) not to post, transmit or upload any material that infringes or violates the intellectual property rights or other rights of a third party; and (g) not to post, transmit or upload any libelous, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, abusive, or otherwise illegal material.

Indemnity.

Incorporation of Privacy Policy. You acknowledge and agree to the Coalition Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated into this Agreement.

Modifications.
You acknowledge and agree that the Coalition may modify this Agreement at any time, and that such modifications shall be effective and binding upon you immediately upon posting to this web page, and that such posting will constitute notice to you of such amendments to the Agreement. It is your responsibility to review this Agreement to apprise yourself of any such modifications to the Agreement.

The Coalition may terminate, change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Website, including the availability of any features of the Website, at any time. The Coalition may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or all of the Website without notice or liability.

Hyperlinks
Some parts of the Website may contain hyperlinks to third party websites and resources on the Internet, or may be linked from such sites ("Linked Websites"). Such hyperlinks are provided only as a convenience. The inclusion of such links on the Website is not an endorsement by the Coalition, implied or otherwise, of the Linked Websites or any products, services, or content offered on such sites, and no content on such Linked Websites has been endorsed or approved by the Coalition. The Linked Websites are not under the control of the Coalition. You agree that under no circumstances shall the Coalition be held responsible or liable for any loss or damages caused or alleged to have been caused by your use of or reliance on any products, services, or content available on any Linked Website.

Miscellaneous Provisions.
In the event that any provision of this Agreement shall, in whole or in part, be determined to be invalid, unenforceable or void for any reason, such determination shall affect only the portion of such provision determined to be invalid, unenforceable or void, and shall not affect in any way the remainder of such provision or any other provision of this Agreement. The Coalition's failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive its right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its choice of law provisions. You and the Coalition agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located within New York, New York. This Agreement and any modifications hereto constitute the entire agreement between the Coalition and you, and supersedes all prior understandings and agreements, whether written or oral, as to such subject matter. Section titles and headings herein are inserted for convenience only and are not intended to be a part of or to affect the meaning or interpretation of this Agreement.

Charitable Status.
The Coalition meets Better Business Bureau standards for charitable solicitations (as of the August 2001 review). The Coalition is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury. Therefore, all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Donors receive an acknowledgment that includes a confirmation of their donation for their tax records.
