Volunteer
Sign Up Today The Coalition offers several rewarding volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals that want to assist homeless men, women and children. Won't you with us to provide a nutritious meal to a homeless person, mentor a woman reentering the workforce, monitor shelter conditions, organize a fundraising event or help a homeless child learn? Please access our volunteer database TODAY to: REGISTER as a new user (you will need to turn off any pop-up blocking software) LOGIN under an existing account, or SEARCH for volunteer opportunities in our database (previous registration required). You can sign up today to volunteer in one of six program areas: Grand Central Food Program is a mobile soup kitchen that serves hot, nutritious meals to 800 homeless and hungry New Yorkers daily. The program's two vans operate 6:30-9:30 p.m. every night of the year. Volunteers typically assist one night per week; they distribute food, clothing and blankets, treat the people we serve with dignity and respect, and raise awareness of homelessness and poverty in our city. For more information and to participate please contact Juan De La Cruz at jdelacruz@cfthomeless.org or call 212-776-2090. Camp Homeward Bound is looking for volunteers for our Camp Clean Up Crew. Each year, Camp Homeward Bound hosts 300 children living in New York City's shelters at our beautiful site in Harriman State Park (40-50 minutes north of Manhattan). To be a part of the Camp Clean Up Crew means that you will come up to our camp site to help get camp ready for our campers.
