Help us raise money to feed thousands of homeless and hungry New Yorkers!

By joining an existing team or setting up your own team, you will be able to recruit friends and family to support the future of the Grand Central Food Program as part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations. You and your team members will invite others to donate and/or join your team and invite their friends and family to donate.

Get started: 

Go to crowdrise.com and click the Login button in the upper right-hand corner. If you don’t have an account already, choose ‘Sign Up’. You can create an account with either your email address or Facebook.

Create your own team:

  • If you’d like to create your own team for your family, friends or coworkers, go to https://www.crowdrise.com/GCFP30 and choose the gray ‘Set Up Your Fundraiser’ button. This will ensure that your team is a part of the GCFP30 campaign and that your donations will go to the Coalition for this cause.
  • Choose the name of your team, write a description (so your friends and family will know what they’re donating to), and set a fundraising goal. If you’d like, you can also choose a picture to represent your team.
  • Once you’re done filling in the information, click ‘Save.’ That will bring you to your team page. If you’d like to invite other friends to join your team, you can choose the grey ‘Manage Team’ tab at the top of your page, then choose the button marked ‘Invite Team Members.’ From here you’ll be able to email your family, friends or coworkers and invite them to fundraise as part of your team.
  • Now it’s time to invite people to donate! Share the link to your fundraising page on all of your social media accounts and via email. Your friends and family will easily be able to donate by choosing the orange DONATE button on your page. All donations are made via credit card, with no login or account set up required. Once they donate, their name and amount will show up on your team page, or they can choose to be anonymous. They will also receive an email confirming their donation that they can use for tax purposes.
  • If you choose to share your fundraiser via Twitter, please use the hashtag #GCFP30 so that your followers can see all the content the Coalition will be sharing and learn more about the GCFP 30th

Or join an existing team: 

  • If you’d like to join an existing team, choose one from the bottom of the GCFP30 Crowdrise page, once you get on that fundraiser’s page, choose the grey button on the right hand side that says ‘Fundraise for this Team.
  • Invite your friends and share on social media, then watch the thermometer go up!
