Drop-In Centers

Drop-in centers offer some social services and allow single adults who have nowhere else to stay to come indoors for the night and sleep in a chair, away from the elements outdoors. It is important to note that you have a right to shelter, but if you are not interested in a shelter placement, a drop-in center might be another option. Some drop-in centers also have connections to faith-based shelters where clients can get a bed for one night at a time.

If you have been sanctioned or suspended from a DHS shelter, some drop-in centers may have access to this information and may also not allow you to stay. If you need help finding a place to stay while you are sanctioned or suspended, please come into the Crisis Intervention Program at the Coalition for the Homeless.
