Outreach Workers Help 60 NYC Homeless Find Shelter From Storm

While many New Yorkers stayed home during Tuesday’s snowstorm, others less fortunate needed shelter from the storm.

The city dispatched 116 outreach workers as the last blast of winter blew into town, and they connected 60 homeless people stuck on the streets with emergency shelter Tuesday. Three of the admissions were involuntary for their own protection, city officials said.
