The coalition of groups pushing for the funding on Thursday, the Campaign 4 NY/NY Housing, are releasing a Groundhog Day-themed ad highlighting the issue. “Like Bill Murray’s character in the movie Groundhog Day, homeless people in New York have been hearing the same thing over and over again. As our State’s homelessness crisis has reached historic levels, the Governor keeps making the same promises, and keeps failing to deliver,” the group said in a statement.
