Weitz Studios Earns Two Silver Telly Awards for First Step Video

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 30, 2012 — Weitz Studios is pleased to announce that the 33rd Annual Telly Awards’ Silver Council has selected its recent work for two Silver Telly Awards—one in the Charitable/Not-for-Profit category and the second in the Videography/Cinematography category.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to recognize outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest online commercials, video, and films. The piece was selected out of 11,000 entries submitted from around the globe.

“We are truly excited and humbled to receive these awards,” says Founder and President Jonathan Weitz. “It was an honor to work with the Coalition for the Homeless on this empowering and meaningful project.”

Mary Brosnahan, Executive Director of the Coalition for the Homeless, the organization that commissioned the winning video, says, “Weitz Studios’ ability to effectively convey a delicate subject is extraordinary.”
